Tamil Nadu government has invited tenders for the expansion of the Sardar Patel Road in Chennai, a road known for its heavy traffic congestion. It has been decided to expand the existing 4-lane road into a 6-lane road over a distance of 2.5 km, from Gandhi Mandapam to GST Road, at an estimated cost of approximately Rs. 30 crore.
