Union External Affairs Minister Jaishankar says that, “When the majority of the world’s nations supported Pakistan, Russia stood firmly with India. The Soviet Union (present-day Russia) stood in support of India during the war with Pakistan. India’s experience with Russia has been positive, and it has consistently remained so”.
