Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) staged protests at the Thoothukudi new bus stand and in Madurai, questioning the absence of the words “Tamil Nadu” on state-run buses. Party members pasted “Tamil Nadu” stickers on buses bearing only the name “State Transport Corporation.” Police detained the protesters, who said the agitation would continue statewide.
