Domestic airfares in India have surged sharply amid higher aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices and the West Asia war, putting extra pressure on travellers. In response, the government has ordered a 25% cut in landing and parking charges at domestic airports for three months to ease airline costs and potentially slow the rise in ticket prices.
