In Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the ruling DMK-led alliance and the opposition AIADMK-led alliance are facing off directly. In this election, both alliances are relying heavily—for the most part—on sitting MLAs. However, the AIADMK’s candidate list reveals that the party places greater reliance on candidates who were defeated in the 2021 elections than the DMK does.
