A 24-hour continuous protest was held in Chennai by a coalition of leftist student organizations, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. A large number of young people participated in the demonstration, raising slogans that labeled Gyanesh Kumar a “vote thief” and a “fraudulent Election Commissioner,” while calling for him to step down from his post.
