Southern Railway has announced the extension of seven special trains—including the Egmore–Kanyakumari train, the special train from Tambaram to Bodinayakanur, the Tambaram–Nellai train, the Chennai Central–Podanur train, and the special train from Mangaluru Central to Egmore—until the end of October.
