Journalist Mani has stated that MDMK might exit the DMK alliance due to internal tensions revolving around Mallai Sathya. He suggested that the defection of some MDMK leaders to DMK earlier was a sign of this potential split. Mani also claimed that the “traitor” label on Mallai Sathya is driven by dynastic politics.
