A commotion has arisen at the Government Higher Secondary School in Moolaikaraipatti, Nellai district, after a Class 12 student was beaten by a fellow student. Relatives have alleged that the assault occurred following a dispute over drinking water from a shared tap, during which the student used a caste name while striking the victim.
