An old video appearing to show Minister Sarathkumar consuming drugs went viral online, causing considerable shock. The Minister has since released a clarification explaining that the video was recorded while he was administering medication to his child; because the child would spit out the pill instead of swallowing it, he had crushed it and mixed it with water.
