The Communist Party of India (CPI) condemned AIADMK chief Edappadi K. Palaniswami’s comments questioning the CPI’s presence in Tamil Nadu and accusing Mutharasan of being a DMK loyalist. CPI stated EPS lacks the moral right to criticize and demanded he watch his words ahead of the 2026 elections.
