CPM state secretary Shanmugam has said the party would reconsider its support to the TVK government if it receives backing from AIADMK. He stated that the Left parties supported Vijay’s government only to prevent BJP rule through indirect means in the name of President’s Rule. Shanmugam also warned that including AIADMK members in the cabinet would go against the people’s mandate.
