An Etihad Airways flight departed from Chennai’s Meenambakkam Airport for Abu Dhabi yesterday morning. As the aircraft began taxiing along the taxiway toward the runway, the pilot suddenly detected a technical glitch. The aircraft was brought to an emergency halt on the taxiway. Thanks to the pilot’s presence of mind, 238 people were fortunately saved.
