Periasamy Kumaran a 1992-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to the United Kingdom. He succeeds Vikram Doraiswami, who recently took charge as India’s Ambassador to China, the Ministry of External Affairs announced.
