The only issue the United States has with Iran is enriched uranium. The U.S. fears that Iran is using it to manufacture nuclear weapons. If one were to ask, “Would the problem be resolved if this uranium were handed over?”—the answer is no. Trump has categorically stated that even if the uranium is surrendered, the economic sanctions against Iran will not be lifted.
