Justice G.R. Swaminathan stated that the Bhagavad Gita is not merely a religious book but a work of moral science and an integral part of Indian civilisation. He said it cannot be confined to any single religion and added that viewing yoga through a religious lens is inappropriate, noting that what applies to the Gita also applies to Vedanta.
