Under Phase 2 of the Chennai Metro Rail Limited project, officials have reportedly recommended to the state and central governments that metro train services on the Poonamallee–Vadapalani corridor are ready to be launched at any time. The development is expected to significantly improve urban connectivity in Chennai.
