The FQL and VG Trading scam involved the misappropriation of crores of rupees—collected under the pretext of doubling investments—across the Natham area of Dindigul district and the Melur region of Madurai district. It is reported that the couple from Kattaiyampatti, near Melur, who masterminded the scheme, have fled abroad.
