Heavy Rain: The Meteorological Department has issued a short-term weather alert stating that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and rain are likely to occur in the next two hours across 11 districts in Tamil Nadu. The affected areas include Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari, Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Dindigul, and Sivaganga.
