Thambidurai: AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami has announced Thambidurai as the party’s Rajya Sabha candidate. A seasoned parliamentarian, Thambidurai has previously served five terms in the Rajya Sabha and once in the Lok Sabha. The Election Commission has scheduled Rajya Sabha polls for March 16 across 10 states, with March 5 as the last date for filing nominations.
