Every year, the Sahitya Akademi Award is given for outstanding literary works. This year, the announcement was suddenly suspended. In this context, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had stated that a Classical Literature Award would be given to an outstanding writer at the national level. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has welcomed this announcement.
