Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam did not contest the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. However, 60 individuals who wished to contest on the party’s behalf paid a fee of ₹50,000 each to obtain application forms. Amidst the ensuing controversy, Makkal Needhi Maiam has now announced that the application fees may be collected starting tomorrow.
