In a poignant post released after resigning as the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah wrote: “Born and raised in a village, I never in my wildest dreams imagined that one day I would assume the responsibilities of this state’s administrator, a cabinet minister, the Leader of the Opposition, and a Chief Minister—twice over.”
