Low pressure area forms: Delta Weatherman Hemachandran has announced the formation of a new low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. He stated that, as a result, heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning are likely across 25 districts of Tamil Nadu—stretching from Chennai to Nellai—over the next four days.
