Mohan C. Lazarus says, “The primary reasons for the DMK’s defeat in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections were TASMAC and the Bribe. When accepting bribes, officials in government offices claim that a share must be passed up to MLAs, Ministers, and even the Chief Minister. They point the finger at you. I believe that the government has failed to curb this.”
