Heavy rains have been lashing various districts of Kerala since yesterday evening. Landslides have occurred at several locations in Kottayam and Idukki districts, resulting in the death of a woman named Sumathi. Disaster relief teams are conducting an intensive search to determine if anyone else is trapped in the landslides.
