Sanitation workers staged a protest for the sixth consecutive day in front of the Ripon Building in Chennai. When Loyola Mani arrived to hold talks with them, the workers surrounded him and bombarded him with a barrage of questions. They demanded that Chief Minister Vijay come to meet them, stating, “We are living a life devoid of hope; we have left our children at home to come here and protest.”
