Farmers protest, which had been ongoing for five days in Samayapuram, Trichy district, has been temporarily suspended. Following talks with ministers—including Ramesh, Gandhirajan, and Vinoth—the farmers announced a 20-day postponement of the protest. They had been agitating to demand a complete waiver of crop loans, as promised in the election manifesto of the TVK government.
